Privacy
pastebook is for making scrapbooks, on your own or with people you invite. Your memories belong to you. We collect only what the app needs to work, we don’t show ads, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your information.
Scrapbooks that stay on your iPhone
A new scrapbook is kept only on your iPhone unless you choose to make it together. Its photos, notes and stickers are not sent to us. They are included in your iPhone’s own backups, as Apple decides.
What we keep when you share
When you turn on Make it together for a scrapbook, or join someone else’s, we store a private copy so everyone in it can see and add to it:
- Your account: the name you choose, a private account number, and your email address if you add one. If you choose a username, people can find you by it, along with your name and a small copy of your profile picture.
- What you add: photos, short videos, Live Photos and GIFs, captions, notes, stickers and page arrangements, plus reactions and comments.
- Who is in each scrapbook and their role (Owner, Admin, Editor or Viewer), and invitations you send or receive.
- Reports you send us, and the people you block.
Before a photo is uploaded, pastebook removes its precise location and other hidden details. Live Photos keep only the details needed to play them.
Who can see it
Only the people in a scrapbook can see it. There is no public feed, no discovery and no follower counts. People you block can’t find you by username or invite you, and you don’t see their notes or reactions. We look at scrapbook content only when you ask us to (for example in a support request) or when it has been reported.
Services we use
- Supabase stores accounts, shared scrapbooks and photos, on servers in Singapore.
- Resend sends emails: sign-in codes, invitations you ask us to email, and reports to our support inbox.
- Apple handles any App Store purchase. We receive confirmation that you have Premium, not your payment details.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website.
They process information only to provide their service to us.
Things we don’t do
- No advertising, and no advertising or analytics trackers.
- No selling or renting of your information.
- No reading of your photo library. You choose each photo, one at a time.
- No use of your scrapbooks to train AI.
Deleting your account
Open You → Delete account in the app. This removes, straight away:
- your account, name, username and profile picture;
- every scrapbook you own, including for the people you shared it with (the app names them before you confirm);
- everything you added to other people’s scrapbooks: photos, notes, stickers, reactions and comments;
- everything pastebook keeps on that iPhone.
Reports about content are kept for safety reviews, with the reporter’s identity removed when their account is deleted. Copies in our providers’ routine backups expire on their normal schedule. If you can’t open the app, write to support@pastebook.app and we’ll help.
Your choices and rights
You can change your name, username and picture in the app, leave any scrapbook, and delete your account. You can also ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law; write to us and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
pastebook isn’t meant for children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, please let us know and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app first.
